Permaculture Design & Consultation

Grow with your food.

Permaculture is a set of design methods and principles used to create systems that support life. By putting sustainability at the center of design decisions, permaculture positions us as stewards of the land we live on and an integral, powerful part of the ecosystem. It teaches us how to regenerate soil, create habitats for native species, ethically raise animals, design polyculture food forests, manage our own nutrition, and read the natural patterns of the landscape and climate. Feed your family; feed your neighbors; feed the future.

As a certified permaculture designer, I work with site owners and property managers principally in the Cincinnati, Ohio area to assess the possibilities on their site, and work out a completely customized plan and budget to position them for the future.

My Connection to Permaculture

>>Listen: Interview on Urban Permaculture Podcast (May 2024)

I discovered permaculture by happy accident in the fall of 2021 and was very quickly impressed by how it integrated so many themes that were already important to me: sustainability, nature, nutritious food, self-sufficiency, community, and mindfulness. As someone who takes great inspiration from nature, the future, and cycles, permaculture is more than a design method to me, it’s a guiding philosophy for my lifestyle. I completed my Permaculture Design Certification in 2022 and bought my first property in 2023. I am still early on in my own permaculture journey of discovery and eager to share what I’ve learned with others and connect the local community. I now serve on the board with the same organization that trained me, Cincinnati Permaculture Institute.
